Terry Bozzio

Terry Bozzio’s musical journey began like many rock drummers, first as a child banging on various pots and pans in sync with his favorite records, then with additional inspiration from the early televised Beatle performances.

While his first recording was with Latin trumpeter Luis Gasca, he is perhaps best know for his recordings, films and live performances with Frank Zappa & the Mothers of Invention. With over 10 Zappa albums to his credit he is recognized as the inspiration for the infamous Black Page written for him by Zappa. His impressive career continued after Zappa with The

Brecker Brothers and UK before he cofounded Missing Persons, playing and recording 7 albums with them from 1980-85.

His session work includes Robbie Robertson, Gary Wright, Don Dokken, XYZ, Paul Hyde, Herbie Hancock, Dweezil Zappa, Richard Marx and more. He has co-written, co-produced and performed with Jeff Beck on a Grammy Award winning album and toured internationally with Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Today Terry Bozzio is recognized as a leading clinician, internationally touring solo drummer and featured artist.
